Greek food .....its delicious
One of the great things about living over here is the food . Not just the mousaka or Greek salad we have all enjoyed on holiday , but all the other dishes that are served up ....mesedakia, special dishes for the winter months and desserts !
Have you ever tried Dolmades ? A great way to start a meal - serve with Ouzo on the rocks !They are basically minced meat wrapped up in vine leaves (or cabbage leaves in the winter) and served in a rich white lemon sauce. Some supermarkets sell them frozen. They are easy to make. My mother in law still cooks them and she is 86 years old !
