One of Evia’s largest towns with a population of about 6,000. Located about 7 km north of Halkida in central Evia. It takes it name from the Greek refugees from Turkey who were settled here
It is a bustling location with many shops and a good nightlife. The seaside location has seen the development of quality apartments and a marina in recent years to enhance its attractive outlook.
Facilities:
It has some good fish tavernas along its attractive seafront which are more affordable than similarly positioned ones in Halkida. Artaki has a wide range of local shops and is on the route from Halkida where the large out of town retail units and showrooms are to be found. There are beaches nearby and a modern marina.
How to get there: A good base to explore the delights of Evia with easy access to Athens under 90 km away via the road bridges at Halkida.
